I was diagnosed with advanced breast cancer in December 2005. I spent 2006 getting surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy. In August 2007, my cancer came back. In February 2008, I learned the cancer had spread to my brain, liver, lungs, and bones. I live in Singapore with my husband Tony, daughter Josie (born Feb. 2003), and son Toby (born July 2005). Thanks to all of you who are still reading and commenting on my blog.

Thinking of you all.
Shin will be very happy to know that she is still missed and remember by her 2 angels and husband. :)
Hi Tony, How are you and the kids?
It is so nice that you made the occassion positive for the children.
You look aged Tony, do take care.
We miss u.
Tony, the balloons are beautiful and so are you and your babies. Happy Birthday to Shin. I miss her so much.
Dear Tony, Josie and Toby (and Shin's friends),
Yesterday, I began my day remembering Shin and in the afternoon - I just have to share this - it's been so amazing - I received an email alert that MediaCorp's Tuesday Report documentary on Shin, "In the Face of Death: Cancer Sucks, But Life is Still Beautiful" has made it to the finals of the 2009 Asian Television Awards. This is in the category for "Best Social Awareness Programme." The results will be out on 3 Dec.
I have sat on the ATV judging panel before, and usually, only 5 finalists are picked per category. When the judges hit 6 or more, you know the entries were so good, they must have had a tough time narrowing down the field.
I am sure the other entries are very good too, but I hope Shin's docu wins. A win would give MediaCorp a reason to broadcast the docu again. And many, many more will be encouraged, and inspired by her story.
Thank you, Tony, for sharing the family's celebration of Shin's life with us. She is special. And so are you and the kids. God bless.

Happy Belated Birthday to You, Shin. I miss you....
Tony, glad to see on the blog again!
Tony, thank you for sharing Shin's birthday with all who read this blog. The kids look great and I am happy to hear that they are doing well. God Bless Nanas. Your Mom is so kind to be helping with the kids. God bless all of you.
To the reader who posted Tony looked aged I have to contest...! He looks simply fantastic and far from aged!
So happy to see that all is well, Tony. A great birthday present for Shin, indeed - Noelle.
Shin,
nadya took her first few steps during your birthday week and yes, she's still wearing the "Shinsmile" as promised. Happy Birthday, Shin.

Happy 43th Birthday Shin! :)
true love never dies. :)
I stumbled across this blog as it seems many have. Just looking up the names of former friends, acquaintances and colleagues. Like many, I found this news shocking and the details almost to hard to read. It has been about 23 years since I last saw Shin. Although this news is a little hard to read I am very glad that she seems to have done quite well for herself. I wonder if the poster "Co Co" is the same Co Co that went to Columbia?
Sending you all our love for Christmas and always...xxx
Hi Tony,
thanks for the update and great to know that all ae doing well!!! You and the children are always im my prayers......karen
Hi Tony, I am Shin's ex-colleague from CNBC and I just want to send my best wishes to you and your family.
Shin comes to my mind often, even though we were not close. Somehow, I remember her sunny smile and her zest for life.
Do continue to blog and update us about your lives, for there are many out there who care.
God bless
KIt Wong
