Shin with Toby

Thanks for the well wishes that continue to come in, both by mail and comments on this blog. I'm still adjusting, still busy and unfortunately haven't been able to fit in much blogging. Its been over three months now. I was just looking at this video clip of Shin laughing with Toby. The date of the video is Jan 11. Amazing that she passed away only 16 days later.

All is well. I have several stories about Toby and Josie that I would like to share and I do find that my feelings and the ways I miss Shin evolve over time. I'll try to gather my thoughts and share them soon.

Tony

That happens to be one of my favourite games with my four year old as well.. his favourite game too...

I miss Shin and when I watched the video, I am reminded of how I should really treasure the moments I have with my loved ones when they are right beside me...

Hi, I do miss Shin too and hope you and Toby and Josie are doing well. Take your time...

Is nice to hear and see Shin so happy with Toby just 16 days before her passing and glad that she was so happy with Toby.

I still drop by almost everyday but didn't drop a word because I understand you will be very busy and also you need to spend more time with Toby and Josie as much as you can. Take care. :)

Wow, the raspberries on the tummy game. I am glad to read your post, and I know I'm not alone. You sound strong. I did make a small memorial: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSln=na&GSfn=shin&GSbyrel=in&GSdyrel=in&GSob=n&GRid=33643316&

Thanks for sharing too.. i can feel the happiness of her although she not in good condition.

We should learn from her. Many of us who are healthy but seems put ourself to live in the sick world.

Take care of yourself, and those who are still alive.

'Life is short, enjoy!'

Hi Tony,
I happened to see you and yr 2 lovely treasures with their nana at PP one evening abt 2 wks ago. Was happie to see all were well, except prob Josie who seemed to be throwing a tantrum and standing by the railings sulking by herself..*.^ She has grown up to be a very pretty lady and looks so much like Shin. Wish u and all well, esp the kids.

Hi Tony, How are you and the kids?

I am not sure if you have read this news about a 4yrs old girl who has cancer and need to raise $ for her treatment. She is as tough and cheerful as Shin and I am sure Shin will be very happy to want to know her and help her too. I am sure you and Josie and Toby would love to help her as much. :)

Here is her website.

In one large study, the drug tamoxifen reduced the number of new cases of breast cancer among women who were at an increased risk of the disease. Doctors are studying whether the drug raloxifene is as effective as tamoxifen. This study is called STAR (Study of Tamoxifen and Raloxifene).
