Memorial Service Slideshow

Thank you to everyone who attended Shin's memorial services yesterday. I was very moved by the overwhelming warmth and support everyone offered.

We plan to put up highlights from the Memorial service over the next few days. To start with here is the slideshow that concluded the services:

Thanks Tony. Do take care and allow yourself a period of grief if you do need. Any help you need, can just post here,ok?

We don't know Shin in person yet we do miss her and can't bear, so we can understand how much you, Michelle, etc, miss and can't bear... but I do believe Shin will be in peace and watching you, Josie and Toby and everyone and to "check" if we "follow" her generosity, giving, sharing, loving, strong, positive spirit,etc...:P

Dear Tony,

My sincere condolence to you and your children. Like Shin, be strong for the children. I understand your feeling right now as i have also lost one of my family members due to cancer in Dec 2008.

Best Wishes from Risa

Thank you... thank you very much for sharing the glimpses of this beautiful life with us... the strangers in your life, but someone who has been touched by Shin in some way or another...

Thank you for sharing and updating us with the memorial service. We hope that you will continue to update us.

Looking at the slideshow, although Shin was sick, she continued to lead a happy and fulfilling life. Every picture of hers was always smiling or laughing , she did not once show that she had succumbed to her illness. We have alot to learn from her and her spirit will live on...

Thank you for sharing Shin with the rest of us...This blog is about love and I feel blessed to get a glimpse of the life and thoughts of such a loving, brave soul. God bless and keep you , Josie and Toby. A pastor once said to my congregation that God is too big for us to put in a box. I do believe in the Christian God but I sometimes think that we all put God in a box to suit our understanding (yep Christians too). With her love, kindness and generosity, I feel she has God in her and I sense she's saying "hi" to Him now and having a great conversation...perhaps an argument even, seeing how fiesty she is...But if God is love , which I believe He is, she has to be with Him and no where else, cos she personifies love... God bless you Tony , and your lovely children...

Tony, thank you for sharing, for the two clips and for the slide show. Somehow, after seeing pictures of you with your guitar, I think of you singing the last song, "Alleluia" to Shin. Be strong for Josie and Toby. I'm so glad that your family is with you. Love to all,

Incredible Tony. Thank you. My thoughts have been with you and the family msny moments of this last week, and as I wasn't present at the memorial, I was so pleased to see the montage and to sense what a poignant service it must have been.

In fact, I was in a taxi to the airport on Sunday morning thinking about it, and the Bloomberg ticker shone up on one of the seatback TV sets, something along the lines of 'people gather for cancer patient Shin Na's memorial'... Shin was everywhere! I was stunned but then again, I wasn't that surprised. She has connected, inspired and touched us all in a positive way. The world should know.

Thank you. j

Dear Tony,

Though I have not met either you or Shin, I am very touched by the clips and can imagine what you, Shin & the children have gone through. I can also see that Shin had a "full life" "Quality Life" and did not allow her illness to take control of her life. She together with you and the two lovely kids are definitely an inspiration to all Cancer patients and their loved ones! May God bless you and the children abundantly and I am sure Shin will be watching you all from heaven!!

Take care and continue your journey with the children, remmbering all the good moments with Shin .....

sincerely
karen

Like many others, I never knew Shin personally, but have been truly touched by her warmth, exhuberance, kindness and the amount of love she had. I dont think there is any one thing to be said - she was an extraordinary angel who touched many through her blog which was originally meant for her children. We will miss her.

What a wonderful slideshow celebrating the life of Shin! The music as unforgettable too! What's the title of the 2nd song in the slide show - after Louise Armstrong's "What a wonderful world"?
